Warner Records is on a mission to make Dua Lipa the biggest streaming artist in the world with the help of some new music and features.

In a new interview with Music Week, Warner Records President Phil Christie says there’s no plans to slow down the promo train for Lipa‘s new album, ‘Future Nostalgia’ due to COVID-19. Christie confirmed to the outlet that Lipa has new material set for release later this year and in 2021:

“We’ve got a number of key singles to come, before we even start talking about features and new songs that we’ll release later in the year and in 2021,” Christie told Music Week.

The move is part of the label’s mission to make Lipa the most-listened to artist on Spotify, Christie said, a goal that he describes as “achievable.” Lipa currently boasts the second-most monthly listeners on the platform (59M) among all artists behind The Weeknd (63m). She recently joined Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello and Billie Eilish as the only female artists to cross 60 MILLION monthly listeners.

Lipa has continued to promote the album through at-home performances and social media posts after moving up the album release a full week due to COVID-19. The singer recently confirmed plans for a deluxe edition of ‘Future Nostalgia’ that may include the “key singles” Christie was referring to in his interview. Beyond the deluxe edition, it’s unclear what features and songs Lipa has up her sleeve.

In tour news, Christie confirmed to Music Week that there are still plans for Lipa to tour ‘Future Nostalgia’: “By the time she comes around to play the album live for people, it will feel much more like a greatest hits set than a brand new release.”

Lipa is currently enjoying a stellar run on the UK Official Charts where ‘Future Nostalgia’ went #1 for two consecutive weeks. She also became the first British female artist to have three singles charting concurrently in the Top 10 (“Don’t Start Now,” “Physical,” “Break My Heart”) since Ruby Murray in March, 1955.
