Following years of speculation, fans are finally being treated to the full audio of Rihanna‘s “Same Old Love” demo that was later passed on to Selena Gomez.

Peaking at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, Gomez‘s “Same Old Love” served as the second single off ‘Revival’ and went on to become one of the singer’s biggest hits. Notably, the song was co-written by Charli XCX and features uncredited vocals from the alt-pop star on its chorus.

Fans were already aware that Rihanna recorded a demo of “Same Old Love.” In 2016, the singer teased that the track would be featured on her upcoming album, ‘ANTI,’ in a tweet referencing the song’s chorus.

Rihanna‘s version of “Same Old Love” sounds nothing like her experimental eighth studio album, ‘ANTI,’ so it makes sense that the singer decided to pass up on the track. Check out some of the best reactions to the newly unveiled demo on Twitter below:

“Same Old Love” joins a growing list of hit tracks that Rihanna has passed up on, including Sia’s “Cheap Thrills,” Miley Cyrus’s “We Can’t Stop” and The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down,” among many others. The Gomez single is currently certified 3x PLATINUM and has accumulated over 400 MILLION Spotify streams.
